What a tragedy.
I started thinking about the recent shootings, about the horrible tragedy of it all. And about how everyone is looking for answers; especially the answer to the most important question of all. Why? Maybe the killer was told all his life that he was special, and couldn't cope with the overwhelming fact that it was a lie. Maybe he was downtrodden and abused his entire life, and decided to take it out on the world. At this point I don't think it matters. And really who cares. No answer can explain away, or justify, or help us understand why someone would indiscriminately slaughter helpless children. No answer would be good enough, at least for me, I just don't think it exists. It is impossible to rationalize the actions of a mass-murderer, or rather, impossible for a rational mind to do so.
My thoughts go out to the families, all the families, who have lost loved ones in such senseless acts of violence.
