February 22, 2007 What Oprah calls... "a lightbulb moment". I realized the other day, while returning home from the gym, that if you're gon'a dream, there's no real sense in dreaming small. I mean, I have my goals and then I have my dreams, both of which are exclusive. My dreams are seperate from my goals, and vice versa.I think it's all the crap I had to deal with concerning my divorce, and the resultant life changes I was forced to make, that made my dreams diminish to the point where they were no longer mine, but rather, they belonged to the influences in my life which were beyond my control. However, it's been over a year now, and I feel as if I might be turning a corner, both figuratively and literally. I truly am excited about this. Not so sure what might beyond said corner. At this point, anything could happen. But it's the eagerness with which I meet these new, and hopefully fun and interesting challenges, that will define me as a man and an artist. My only hope is that I'm up to the task. I think I am. Nay. I truly, truly believe I am. Time, is the teller here. That, and a liberal amoutn of adaptability. So, in closing, no more small dreams. Only big ones! Hell! It's how I live my life. I've been doing it for over 37 years, and I don't see any reason for stopping now. [Add Comment] 0 Comments |
