  THE HANGOVER

As a rule, I don't normally gravitate towards comedies. For one reason or another, and for as long as I can remember, I have liked dramas, the more serious, gritty, and dark -- the better. So, it is with this in mind that I ask one thing, and one thing only of a comedy - for Christ's sake! Make a "brother" laugh. I laughed my ass off at "40 Year Old Virgin" and "Wedding Crashers". "The Rocker" was a complete surprise, coming in very funny and with a modicum of not-too-overly-dramatic heart. "The Hangover", while lacking any sense of heart, was funny as fuck (whatever, that's supposed to mean). To its credit, I laughed my ass off. The performances were believable, and again, very funny. If you liked any of the above-mentioned films you will like "The Hangover". I give it a solid FAST FOOD MEAL review.
