Admittedly, it took me maybe a half hour to realize how stunning this movie was. (Strangely enough I thought I might have to turn the movie off, it had a pretentious-vibe at first, similar to a Lars von Trier film.) But as I said, a half hour into it, my mouth was dumbly open and I was left gaping at some of the extraordinary and disturbing visuals in this film. This movie will stick with you... WAY after the closing credits. It's moody, unsettling, gritty, and mesmerizing... all at the same time. I gave it a FOUR COURSE MEAL review, specifically because there literally is nothing quite like it.
