The Menus is superb; chock full of memorable characters and superb acting and direction.
When I talk about good horror, sometimes it's good because it is a scathing social commentary. George Romero's Dawn of the Dead is a commentary on consumerism; The Babadook, is a commentary on mental health and, quite possibly, our preconceived perception of said mental health. The Menu is scathing social commentary regarding the service industry, it is a cooks, a waiters, a cashiers wet dream!... and more; it's downright hilarious.
My only critique might be I found it rather predictable; but for Anya Taylor-Joy's character, whom I loved. And that may be the only reason the movie didn't get a higher review.
The Menu is fun, violent, witty satire. And I loved it. It gets a FAST FOOD MEAL review.
