Much to my happy surprise, I loved "This is the End". For my part, the majority of comedians in the movie I have never liked: Seth Rogan I only find funny in an ensemble cast, and Danny McBride is stale, trite, and lackluster. And to be honest, when I realized the actors were not playing characters, but rather themselves, I thought to myself... "lame". But for rapture's sake, it all seemed to work, and work damn well. The humor is on a fifth grade level, but the length to which they went to make fun of themselves and the business was not only admirable, but priceless. There are many, many funny scenes and gags; again, burgeoned by a fairly immature humor, but they seemed to have so much fun, you can't help get caught up in it.
"This is the End" is funny. Not near the brilliant stroke of comedic genius as "The World's End", but riotous nonetheless. Go see it. You'll have fun. Oh! And it gets a solid FAST FOOD MEAL review.
