Holy shit!
Barbarian is absolutely fantastic! It quite literally is as good as horror gets. The writing is superb. The acting is absolutely amazing. And the direction is subtle and done with an eye that seems to know exactly how to frame a shot. There are no hackneyed jump-out scenes; the only thing these days in popular horror movies that lesser directors think is the mark of a good horror movie. Rather, each scene is held just as long as is needed. And the horror builds upon itself, just as the story does.
Ari Aster, Eli Roth, Mike Flanagan, and all you other "supposed horror masters" take note. Mister Cregger has crafted a film that blows all of your recent work out of the proverbial bloody waters!
If you like horror films you will like Barbarian. If you like good movies you will like Barbarian. Barbarian gets the highest FAST FOOD MEAL review I can give a movie.
It is bloody fantastic!
