What's to say, really? "T2 Trainspotting" is fucking brilliant. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, is done at the highest level: cinematography, direction, acting, story, dialogue. This movie was a pleasure to watch and a logical extension of the original film. There is one caveat, however... actually, now that I think of it there are two. If you have not seen the first movie "Trainspotting"- first off what is your freakin' problem? It's magnificent! Go see it! But with that said, "T2" is most assuredly a sequel. You will need to see the original before seeing "T2". And secondly, this is a movie for MY generation. If you're a millenial you probably won't understand the nuances of the story, nor will you be able to grasp the emotions with which the characters struggle. I didn't realize it at the time, but the characters are, more or less, my age... so it is extremely easy to identify with the regret and mistakes they must deal and come to terms with.
Barring all that, "T2" is as good as it gets. Therefore, I am honored to give "T2 Trainspotting" a FOUR COURSE MEAL review.
