I saw it. I liked it. The most positive thing I can say about "The Hobbit" is the fact that three hours passed, and I hardly even blinked. Extremely entertaining. The production value, as with any Jackson film, is ridiculously high. The cast is magnificent; nary a weak one in the bunch. The only negative critique I might give really, is the fact that there are quite a few scenes- dwarves running, the camera swooping through goblin caves- that are, quite literally, the same scenes from the trilogy. Swap goblins for Orcs or Uruk Hai; swap 13 dwarves and one hobbit for the fellowship of the ring, and we're back in the trilogy. Barring that, I was entertained, through and through, and therefore the movie gets a high FAST FOOD MEAL review.
