"American Gangster" gets, of course, seeing as how it is a Ridley Scott film, a FOUR COURSE MEAL review.
WARNING: BORING REVIEW in process. The movie's brilliant. Go see it. 'Nough said.
"American Gangster" is the kind of movie that strikes me as "the great-kind". Just like Crowe's "Master and Commander", as well as his brilliant work in "3:10 to Yuma", "American Gangster" is made in the manner that I think all movies should be made; with an effortless patience, a stringent attention to detail, and an unshakable focus. As far as cop dramas are concerned, "American Gangster" is as good as it gets.
