The Host is an amazing monster movie. It's effective on so many levels. It is both hilarious and touching, both dramatic and silly, both serious and goofy, not cheesy and remote, the C.G.I. is effective and again, beautifully filmed, the acting is reminiscent of the brilliant Korean film "Old Boy".
There were scenes in which I rewound the film just to see them again. I mean, if I hadn't seen this movie I would not have thought that a simple "monster movie" could be done with such fun, flare, and professionalism.
The Host is as good as it gets concerning "monster movies", and that's why it gets a FOUR COURSE MEAL review.
