Well, here's a surprise. I have to admit it, I liked "Blair Witch". It's hard for me to admit because this is the same inept team- writer and director- that brought us the most horrible attempt at horror I have seen in decades, the dreadfully titled, "You're Next". But "Blair Witch" was good. I had thought it was a reboot, however, it was not. It is actually a sequel. And I really did enjoy their take on the whole story. It's simple like the original, but also effective like the original. And yet, just like the original I would have no inclination to watch it again. That's why it gets a BIRTHDAY CAKE REVIEW.
"Blair Witch" is fun and entertaining, especially after you've had a few pints, but it won't stand the test of time.
