All right, so I am firmly in the camp of those that did not like the movie "Locke". So the director is a writer mainly. And maybe to Tom Hardy and Steven Knight, "Locke" looked like a taut drama on paper, but what they both seemed to forget was that film is, by default and design, a visual medium. And at the end of the day the movie is about a man driving at night while talking on the phone for 85 minutes. After the first 35 minutes and my first pint I rushed to the internet to see if Tom Hardy ever gets out of the car. He does not.
Say what you will, but "Locke" is pretentious, stilted, uninspired and worst of all... boring. I give it a RICE CAKE review.
