Admittedly, "Finding Dory" fell flat for me. And I truly have loved and adored most, if not all, of Pixar's films. But this simply felt like a facsimile of, of course, "Finding Nemo". "Dory" had none of the whimsy and sense of adventure and danger that "Nemo" had, nor did it have the humor of "The Incredibles" or the gravitas of "Up" or even the overwhelming profundity of Wall-E". Most of "Dory" felt flat and forced and perfunctory. I have come to expect more from Pixar, and thus far they have yet to let me down. Unfortunately, "Finding Dory" did just that.
I give "Finding Dory" a BIRTHDAY CAKE review. Don't bother with this one, just watch "Finding Nemo" instead.
