"Ad Astra" is a flippin' marvel. Everything in it is top notch- cinematography, acting, dialogue, direction, special effects. It is a s slow burn that had me engrossed by second one, and reminded me, very much, of a "Heart of Darkness" in space. The visuals are nothing less than "jaw-dropping". But none of this overshadows the very intimate, very plausible, very real core of the story; which is a fathers' relationship with his son.
The bad reviews of this film reflect the science, and not the story. I would be lieing if I told you I had any business talking about the science. I don't. I ain't that bright. And as I've stated numerous times before, math just makes me cry.
But I loved this movie. So much so, I'm giving it a FOUR COURSE MEAL review.
