What's to say, really? "1917" is as good as it gets concerning cinema: direction, acting, dialogue, character development, cinematography (holy crap!), action choreography, special effects, production, editing, sound...
All of it... every last bit is top-fuckin'-notch. And, not to put to fine a point on it, they don't make moves like this anymore- beautiful, huge sets, hundreds of extras, a shit-load of practical effects. "1917" is movie-making at its very... very best.
"1917" gets the highest FOUR COURSE MEAL review I can give. Do yourself a favor and see it on the big screen.
