I have always loved the acting of William Fichtner. He has had an amazing career, which almost spans more than four decades. You might recognize him from movies such as "Equilibrium", "Crash", "Armageddon", "Black Hawk Down", "Heat", "Strange Days"... just to name a few. He is one of those very rare actors who can emote through his face with no dialogue at all: just a telling look in the eyes. "The Neighbor" is Fichtner's opus. I loved it. Now, the movie is nothing special and shows us nothing we haven't already seen before, but Fichtner is such a joy to watch he elevates the pedestrian premise to something more akin to art.
This movie is not for everyone: it is a slow burn. And others would probably complain about it taking too long, but I loved it. Therefore, "The Neighbor" gets a solid FAST FOOD MEAL review.
