I thoroughly enjoyed "Battle Los Angeles". It ain't the best movie I've ever seen, nor is it the worst. As a matter of fact, I was pleased. I found the film entertaining and a perfect "popcorn" action flick. The special effects were more than adequate; the acting was solid, and the pace relentless. (Imagine "Black Hawk Down" meets "Independence Day" -- or something.) For some reason, and I can't quite put my finger on it, but I have never liked Aaron Eckhart. I have a hard time believing him. It is almost like he's a blond version of "Canoe" Reeves. However, he is more than passable as the stalwart, misunderstood Sgt. Michael Nantz. There is barely, to no, character development, but the thing I liked about the film is its focus on action. That is what it is, an action film, and it does not try to be anything else.
Not great, but not bad. I give "Battle Los Angeles" a low FAST FOOD MEAL review.
