  SUSPIRIA

And here we have the remake of the 1977 classic by the same name and directed by Italian horror film maker Dario Argento.

Let me say this first; I have watched and enjoyed the original multiple times, however, it is not a film that I would refer to as one of my favorites. It is considered- and rightly so- a "classic" by a myriad of horror aficionados. But for my own part it has never drawn me in to that degree. With that said, why make a classic if you can't improve upon it?

"Suspiria" the remake is horrible. Gone is the slow progression to dread and horror. Gone is the mystery being painstakingly and unerringly revealed. Gone is the wonderful cinematography, as well as the soundtrack by "Goblin". And we are left with a bland, horribly shot film, which reveals the mystery behind the school at the beginning of Act 2. I was so bored and uninvolved that I turned it off after about twenty minutes.

"Suspiria" the remake is bad and pointless, for these reasons I give it my dreaded RICE CAKE review.
