  APOLLO 18

The movie, APOLLO 18, was good. I really did enjoy it. It aint the most perfect film, but honestly, I thought it hit every mark it was attempting to hit, and came out an entertaining thriller. Billed as a thriller in the vein of THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT, and more recently TROLL HUNTER. APOLLO 18 revolves around found footage that has been edited by an unknown party, and is ultimately the reason we never returned to the moon. I found the thrills to be thrilling, and the production value spot on (it truly does look like the footage might be from the very late sixties or early seventies). Talk about an isolated area! One cannot get much more isolated than the moon, and this works, as it does for every thriller/horror movie who uses that tried and true method. The moon creatures, if you will, are somewhat uninspiring, but do not hinder what was a well developed sense of claustrophobia and paranoia.

For me, APOLLO 18 worked. And that is why I give it a FAST FOOD MEAL review.
