  THE BEAST

The Beast… what can I say? This is, bar none, one of the best war movies ever made, and probably the most difficult to find.

For simple story, acting, directing, realism, music, cinematography, editing… there is none better.

I am amazed how movies of this caliber can be passed over and forgotten, as it concerns awards and accolades. It did nothing. It silently came into my life, shocked and amazed me, and then silently slipped away. I had to buy it online through Amazon.com to actually see it again.

I'm serious dear reader, this is just as good as any Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, Saving Private Ryan, or Black Hawk Down.

There are some outstanding films from the 80's that have been overlooked as true classics. Remember just because there are no CGI special effects does not mean it is a horrible movie, and CGI does not a movie make.

Find, if you can, The Beast.
